Just a little past the halfway point of The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters

and I'm absolutely loving it.  Anyone planning to read this is in for a wild ride.  I've been knotted up all day.  That's all I'll say right now, but this is (at least so far) a definite no-miss.

      I finished it today. I got nothing done but it was well worth every second. It made me so tense that I had to get up and walk around -- a very good sign. I'll be posting my Librarything review tomorrow, & I'll expand it it for here over the next couple of days. It was awesome.

    Omigosh! From you, awesome is a great compliment.
    I'm just reading an article in the NYT now about Sarah Waters.

    I've read two prior books by her and liked them, was blown away by one
    of them. But awesome, hadn't gotten there yet. Glad to hear it. I guess
    my methodical book list is going to be ignored for awhile. I must read
    this one.

    Boo to methodical reading lists! Can't deal with them any more. When a good book comes along, it takes priority!
