The Last Train From Hiroshima -- an FYI

Whoa. I am going to read this book, which I bought when it was first released, and caught wind of this discussion via Amazon.com.  So this is just a heads-up. It's not like the whole book is in question, just a few pages, but you may want to read this article before reading it.

  1. Sounds as if the author got a lot of info from the wrong guy, and now has to retract it. Looking forward to your review!

  2. I wonder why the author didn't do the additional research then to validate this man's claims, rather than now? From the info in the article, it would have been prudent to do so! Still, it sounds like a good read.

  3. Well, that is the question. I think he just put way too much faith in this guy, but still he should have followed up what he was saying. Any researcher worth his salt would have gone to other sources. The author notes though, that it is only like 5 pages in question, so we'll see.

Say what you will, but at least try to be nice about it.
