But the music -- at times it sort of reminded me of music you might hear in a porn film (although I must confess to not having seen one).

You're welcome for the list. But how great is that?

The Camilleri series is truly special. I think I might like that best on audio, just like I prefer Aurelio Zen (from Michael Dibdin's series) on film. What a gorgeous cast they've chosen--and all on location in Rome. Did you happen to catch it on PBS/Masterpiece Theatre? If not, do...it's a real treat.Trishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00246455872244287099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1008954639175647714.post-359353628216750942011-08-04T08:59:44.102-04:002011-08-04T08:59:44.102-04:00I've found a lot of OK reads in the list so fa...I've found a lot of OK reads in the list so far. The books are not as edgy as I generally like in crime fiction, but it's the characters and sense of place that make the books.NancyOhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12027036137062767840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1008954639175647714.post-72464914471260240892011-08-03T15:41:16.605-04:002011-08-03T15:41:16.605-04:00I haven't heard of Camilleri before but I'...I haven't heard of Camilleri before but I'm going to borrow one of his mysteries from our library.
